A conversation of minds.

(Food for thought between three minds):

Mind a) Awakened, perceptive-observing mind.

Mind b) Awakening sentient mind.

Mind c) Enlightened mind, influenced by Theosophy, Religion, Sciences the Arts etc.

Mind a)

Self-awareness overcomes death.

Every incarnating Individual has inherently got mineral vegetable, animal and human consciousness, held in the manifesting triangle of the subjective-objective and collective unfolding mind, as the microcosm of the macrocosm.

That entails the feeling, emotional and psycho-mental bodies being activated by the spirit  within, manifesting as Life, Time and Space, reflected in Nature, Humanity and the  Earth-entity.

In the infinitely small is reflected the infinitely great, that is the teaching and message of the fully awakened mind. This is digested by the inner formative worlds of feeling, thought and experience, of astral and mental matter.

Mind b)

“Does that mean I live and breathe and have my being in the unseen and unknown, behind the world stage of mere labels, names, competitions and achievements of modern humanity?

Mind c)

It has been said that; ‘the East has a far more slowly moving development than the West.

The original idea of Theosophy was to bring the eastern and western mind into working together.

This has caused a great upheaval on inner and outer levels, mainly because of the

Transition from one Age to another introduces change; the effect is a clash between force and form. One fights to keep the old forms alive, the other tends to destroy them. If neither uses discrimination, both create conflict.

The eastern more subjective orientated mind is content to meditate and to contemplate; the western more objective orientated mind tends to become overactive.

Mind a)

In my view, both should go together. Seeing each level for what it is the subjective or inner way should go hand in hand with the objective outer activities.

Both need to be free from the lures of human invented emotional and mental nostalgia, torn between keeping old forms alive or destroying them.

I am somewhere in between, using discrimination to compromise. At the same time I hope to help planetary life to survive the dangerous and overwhelming mass of static energies, that is built up between the opposing powers affecting all kingdoms on Earth.

In other words getting too much involved with the outside world stops me from the silent watcher, soul transforming power.

Mind c)

All the knowledge of the Ages comes to nothing if it is not applied to daily life. It needs to be digested and absorbed by individuals who are still able to maintain an awareness of the Oneness of all Life. Modern intellectual minds are addicted to scientific facts, or indulge in pageantry of all kinds, which is anti-evolutionary to the health and growth of planetary, human and solar life.

Since the days of Atlantis men have been taught how to program their subconscious minds, how to achieve psychic powers, how to use instinct and the intellect as a tool for phenomena that  manipulates natural forces to dominate, while the spirit-will, ‘to create’ emanating from within, slowly fades away.

Mind a)

To get a clearer picture; It is the human spirit-spark within, interacting with the soul, heart and mind, bringing about an awareness that is a powerful instrument of response to the unfolding mind from within out.

Spirit-will represents the oneness or cause of the manifesting life-force energies in dynamic equilibrium, with their positive and negative poles. Yet it is human feeling and thought that has brought about the conflict of the opposites, culminating in the battle of the sexes on the physical plane.

In a universe that is naturally binary, the knowledge of mediating energies emanating out of the  unconscious into the subjective-objective and collective human consciousness, relies on  homo sapiens (wise men), to  take responsibility of Cause and effect,  Karma, the law of adjustment in Life, that is change everlasting on all its levels.

Mind b)

So that could be the true meaning, purpose and responsibility of the soul, heart and mind of individual incarnations, naturally interacting with the alter-ego and after death states of the mind?

Mind c)

Man, ‘ the measure of all things’ is a reflection of the ‘Self-begotten’ in visible forms.

The persona exists as a shield on the physical non-principled level only.

The circle with its point in the middle is a concrete symbol of individual or incarnation-consciousness.

The turning point is here and now for Individuals to go within tunnels of time and consciously emerge into the cycles, rounds and chains of the Ages, to evolve towards the spiral of consciousness..

Mind b)

Are there any signs of that evolutionary pull at this moment in time?

Mind a)

EVOLUTION, THE STORY OF LIFE:   (D. Palmer and P. Barret):

“The human population has exploded and diversified over the last 10.000 years, from a million or so to over six billion. Separation of human population and exposure to different physical and cultural influence has introduced differences in appearance, language and customs, but genetically we are still the same species, Homo-Sapiens and are capable of interbreeding.”

Mind b)

Is that all there is to ‘Evolution’, changing appearances on a physical concrete level?

Mind c)

Ancient wisdom teachings insist there is far more than that.

The physical universe is but a concrete reflection of what happens behind the appearance. It is a metaphor of an inner reality, in truth it is the science of the evolution of consciousness.

Mind a)

The Truth of creative potential lies within the core, its coiled serpent-power (Kundalini) slowly rises towards life-form expressions from the physical to the solar and galactic states of ‘Being’.

Its germination is through the unfolding universe or mind, manifestation of a seven-fold ‘Being’ on the wheel or clock of the Zodiac.

Mind c)

After each round or cycle there are failures.  These failures can be rectified, that is what evolving minds do best.

The Mind lived long before the appearance of the rivers of time and will live long after they have run dry.

Modern men have closed themselves off from the memory banks that sustain the evolution of life and consciousness.

Fearful of humiliating themselves in the outer world of commerce, their feelings thoughts and experiences are short lived.

They have sidestepped wisdom-knowledge for the sake of mortal glories, clinging to physical life and thus affecting the after death states of the mind, which are full to overflowing with empty shells.

Those who still want to know, scrabble for fragments, hoping to piece together that which has been lost. Can that which has been lost be found?

Is there a future for these brain-washed and computerised minds, which appear too apathetic to challenge failure? Inner conviction would have it so.

If the mind truly desires to know and go beyond the brain-mind, courage is a pretty firm foundation to begin with.

Nature, humanity and the earth, interact equally in the manifestation of the space-time-continuum.

It’s nucleus feeds the four kingdoms on earth and the human being that strives to attune to the Solar Being via the unfolding principles overshadowed by the seven cosmic rays.

If the inner reality is reduced to physical identifying life i.e. brain-mind programming, the inner levels start to crumble.

Having  laid waste to a land once full of evolutionary potential, all the discoveries, inventions and scientific knowledge can never replace the ‘inner knowing’ of Man, the archetype of life on Earth.

The turning point is here and now.

“To go down into the tunnels of time and consciously fulfill the cycles, rounds and chains of time and space, require deeper and deeper insights into the fabric of the universe whose double helix is but an outer concrete symbol of an inner revelation.

The ancient wisdom-symbol of it is the Caduceus.

Mind a)

In other words we have not evolved, but devolved from our centre point; all for the sake of a few glorious, yet fleetingly precise, moments in time.

Much of what humanity works with are outworn forms, an upsurge of mankind’s deluge of informative knowledge that needs to be cleared away, before a leap in consciousness can become a reality.

Yet we carry on in an ever more intense frenzy of glorifying phenomena, while the natural world around us crumbles into dust, while we cling on to brick and mortar for dear life.

Discoveries beyond the sensible and practical, throw everything, past, present and future against a brick wall of intellectual-academic studies, where nothing lives but the accumulation of information stuck in physical space and time.

Being blissfully unaware, or willfully ignorant of it, is no excuse. Their faulty actions and misinformed reactions precariously balanced on the principle of probability, are breakable and utterly irresponsible.

Energy is Life and Life is energy. Failure that understands its opposite, victory is the potentiality of ‘Self-knowledge.’ which is older than Individual or Incarnation-consciousness. It goes beyond intellectual-academic studies, and all the wonders of the ancient and modern worlds, back to before time began to the word ‘create’ out of the world of emanation, so that Life may ‘be’ , and evolve in consciousness. How can any ‘Being; refuse that call?

                                                          ***************

Mind b)

I have read a book on Theosophy supposedly the eastern mind coming to the west.

OCEAN OF THEOSOPHY (W.Q. Judge)

Chapter 1:

Theosophy is that ocean of knowledge which spreads from shore to shore of the evolution of sentient beings; unfathomable in its deepest parts, it gives the greatest minds their fullest scope, yet shallow enough at its shores, it will not overwhelm the understanding of a child. No science is complete which leaves out any department of nature, whether visible or invisible, and that religion which, depending solely on an assumed revelation, turns away  from things and the laws which govern them, is nothing but a delusion, a foe to progress, an obstacle in the way of man’s advancement towards happiness. Embracing both the scientific and the religious, Theosophy is a scientific religion and a religious science.

Comment:

Wonderful theories, but where is the practical application of it all? Feeling without understanding is a waste of energy. Thought without deed is a waste of time. Knowledge without experience is a waste of incarnations. Theosophy was meant to bring eastern and western thought together. With the best of intentions religion, science and the arts have tried to bring more than just survival of earth life to this plane. What intrigues me most is that all religions, science, art, philosophies etc. seem to fundamentally agree to disagree. If science is objective observation of the visible and religion subjective perception of that which can be digested by the psyche (feeling intelligence) and the intellect (thinking intelligence), then the two need a third to align with Nature and the Universe. That third is consciousness intuition (knowing intelligence). They are in dynamic equilibrium with each other. Incarnations should be the manifestation of that trinity revealing the unfathomable depth of the ocean of knowledge at one with its shores in feeling, thought and experience.

Individual lives right down to the atom, are respected by Nature’s laws. Why does mankind reject that understanding comes through the human, child of Nature, acting as the vehicle of the soul, it sets into motion life-conscious-evolution. Consciousness on the Tree diagram is the link or mediating point between force and form, objectivity and subjectivity etc. Only then can the sevenfold being trapped in human form on earth, start to unfold and give life on earth a chance to evolve beyond the sententious feeling, thought and experience of physical life. It is not up to higher beings or any gods, initiates etc. to make that happen, but to the  individually having the courage to contribute to the intricate workings of the web of life in his or her own right of being human, the point of light within darkest matter.

Book continued:

The Theosophist agrees with Prof. Huxley in the assertion that there must be beings in the universe whose intelligence is as much beyond ours as ours exceeds that of the black beetle and who take an active part in the government of the natural order of things.

Comment:

Unless human intelligence strives towards ‘Being’ which is wholeness awareness,  it is beneath the intelligence of a black beetle which is subjective-instinctive and wise in force and form and does not pretend to be anything but what it is, unlike human intelligence precisely because the ego prides itself as being be high above the kingdoms on earth.

Book continued:

The Theosophist believes that we humans are not appearing for the first time when we come upon this planet, but have pursued a long, an immeasurable course of activity and intelligent perception on other systems of globes, some of which were destroyed ages before the solar system condensed. This immense reach of the evolutionary system means then, that this planet on which we now are is the result of the activity and the evolution of some other one that died long ago, leaving its energy to be used in the bringing into existence of the earth, and that the inhabitants of the latter in their turn came from some older world to proceed here with the destined work in matter. And the brighter planets, such as Venus, are the habitation of still more progressed entities, once as low as ourselves, but now pitched up to a glory too incomprehensible for our intellects.

Comment:

Surely all these systems ultimately belong to the evolutionary spiral of consciousness that has no beginning or end, perceived instinctively through the human psyche, objectified by the intellect acting as a bridging consciousness through creative imagination, the intuition. Between the involution and evolution of consciousness stands death, transformation. The concrete symbol of that is the Caduceus, which through the human signifies the integration of the four elements, the wand corresponding to the earth, (rooting of homo-sapiens) the wings to air, (growth of active intelligence through the mind), the serpents to fire and water (sentient beings). For me that brings the above quotation alive.

Book continued:

The most intelligent being in the universe, man, has never, then, been without a friend, but has a line of elder brothers who continually watch over the progress of the less progressed, preserve the knowledge gained through aeons of trial and experience, and continually seek for of drawing the developing intelligence of the race on this or other globes to consider, the great truths concerning the destiny of the soul.

Comment:

I am much happier to stick to my perception of objectifying my  spirit within and seeing it as a reflection of the intercourse of spirit (life-force) and matter ( formative intelligence as energy), which through my existence nurtures the involution-evolution of consciousness in dynamic transition forever and ever more. The races to me are part and parcel of existential physical life, the inner revealed in the outer, existence reaching out towards ‘being’ through and all around me. Which unites not separates all things within space and time and beyond.

These elder brothers keep  the knowledge they have gained of the laws of nature in all departments, and are ready when cyclic law permits it to use it for the benefit of mankind.

Comment:

Wholeness awareness is my one and only devotion, it does not compartmentalise, it does not belong to one thing or another, makes no distinction between above or below, great or small, right, left, up or down, but never ceases to bring all things together within the circumference of creative potential whose core is eternity consciousness, aligning to my spirit within at one with manifesting life in whatever form. It is duality in dynamic equilibrium with my inner most self. I am the child of spirit and matter, in physical terms; the Earth is my mother, the sky my father, Nature teaching me how to survive the intricate and compartmentalised human systems, stuck in measured time and space.

Book continued:

This age is an age of transition, when every system of thought, science, religion, government and society is changing, and men’s minds are preparing for an alteration into that state which will permit the race to advance to the point suitable for these elder brothers to introduce their actual presence to our sight.

Comment:

Transition is soul-consciousness, points of light within the web of life, an actuality that is a dynamic reality of creative feeling, thought, experience and action of the evolution of consciousness, dormant in some, awakening in others, it does not depend on systematic thought, science, religion, government or society, but simply is free to live or go under. All I need to be aware of at any moment in time that Life is change everlasting to which my will ‘to be’ adjusts and attunes according to free will and choice working spontaneously, not systematically towards the balance of the way between the opposites, sometimes full of sorrow and anxiety, at others inspiring and uplifting. Trust in my   creative potential, no matter how difficult and challenging is the key to my ‘truth of being’, slowly almost imperceptibly evolving beyond the established order of things, at that point I am at peace in the midst of warring forces.

Book continued:

The word Mahatma identifies with humanity. It is composed of Maha great and Atma soul; so it means great soul, and as all men are souls the distinctness in Mahatmas lies in greatness.

Comment:

This is where I can’t help but see Theosophy as an Ideology whether in religious or scientific terms. Humanity, as I know it, is forever cutting itself off from its soul, because the soul to me simply represents self-awareness that takes the initiative of responsibility to life on all its levels. It lives beyond and carries on despite any philosophical movement, any system, theological dogma etc. The soul brings creative potential, power of fire to the unfolding mind, right down to physical matter.

Book continued:

Turning to India (from the ancient Egyptian God-kings) so long forgotten and ignored by the lusty and egotistical, the fighting and the trading West, we find her full of the lore relating to these wonderful men of whom Noah, Abraham, Moses and Solomon are only examples.

All along the stream of Indian literature we can find the names by scores of great adepts who were well known to the people and who all taught the same story- the great epic of the human soul. Still more in the quiet unmovable East there are today  by the hundred, persons who know of their own knowledge that the great Lodge still exists and has its Mahatmas, Adepts, Initiates etc. Through Theosophy a mighty triad acting on and through ethics is that composed of Buddha, Confucius and Jesus. All these great names represent members of the one single brotherhood, who all have a single doctrine.

Comment:

Great names do not live for me.

Book continued:

A Mahatma endowed with power over space, time, mind, and matter, is a possibility, just because he is a perfected man. Every human being has the germ of all the powers attributed to these great Initiates, the differences lying solely in the fact that we have in general not developed what we possess the germ of, while the Mahatma has gone through the training and experience which have cause all the unseen human powers to develop in him, and conferred gifts, that look god-like to his struggling brother below.

Comment:

We might have acquired power over Nature, split the atom, discovered the mechanics of the phenomenal universe etc. in my view; it is all at the expense of our soul and free spirit within. Acquisition or education can never replace self-conscious-evolution which ever comes from the heart of creation, human feeling, thought and experience, evolving according to individual, planetary and solar karma. Potentiality is not a gift to be processed, but to be lived  and practiced wholeheartedly on inner and outer levels and in the midst of endowed Mahatma powers and common everyday life.

Book continued:

Just as there are periodical minor cataclysms or partial destructions, so, the doctrine holds, there is the universal evolution and involution. Forever the great breath goes forth and returns again. As it precedes outwards, objects, worlds and men appear; as it recedes all disappear into the original source.

Comment:

“What I see is not what I know”. All is energy. Destruction either partial or full on cannot be unless human free will and choice detaches itself from its origin. The metaphor of the circle without the point in the middle is a thought to be considered here. To reach towards the heights should not deter one to stay involved with simple life struggling to evolve. The rounds, chains and globes are but a sign-post towards the practical application, not towards perfection, but not to return to the source empty handed.

Chapter 2:

The teachings of Theosophy deal for this present chiefly with our earth.

Comment:

Something does not feel right. The Earth as an entity in its own right is not ours to deal with, as we will; to treat incarnations according to a job well done and then move on for better things to come.  Esoteric initiations, as well as academic education are a process of earning ‘brownie points’. Life to me is not so much an education, but an intercommunication of levels and spheres revealing the interrelatedness of all living things. To become aware of what lives around and through me brings me nearer Nature, while at the same time I grow into an ever deeper understanding of her workings. It comes through trial and error of living experiences, which gives a passing glimpse of what is happening behind the appearance.

Book continued:

Our globe being one of the solar system is certainly connected with Venus, Jupiter and other planets, but as the great human family has to remain with its material vehicle -the earth- until all the units of the race which are ready are perfected , the evolution of that family is of greater importance to the members of it.

Comment:

I cannot and will not ever be one of the members of this perfected family. The statement to me sounds as horrifying and egotistical as the belief of the Jews or any other dogmatic fanatical belief that they are ‘the chosen ones’. My free spirit cringes at the idea.

Book continued:

When Egypt and India were younger there was constant intercourse between them. They both in the opinion of the Theosophist, thought alike, but fate ruled that of the two the Hindus only should preserve the old ideas among a living people. The ancient Egyptian and Hindi Theosophists never admitted a creation out of nothing, but ever strenuously insisted upon evolution, but gradual stages, of the heterogeneous and differentiated from the homogeneous and undifferentiated.

The cosmic and human chronology of the Hindus is laughed at by western Orientalists, yet they can furnish nothing better and are continually disagreeing with each other on the same subject

Comment:

Disagreement seems to be a primary force of the human condition, where everything ends in political strife.  What has esoteric science to do with money obsessed cultures? Why did it come to this and more to the point, what does it contribute to the Earth’s dilemma, practically collapsing under the weight of physical obsessed mankind.

Book continued;

Forever the great breath goes forward and returns again. As it proceeds outwards, worlds and men appear; as it recedes all disappear into the original source.

Comment:

The out-breathing of Life that ever ‘IS’ holds within its emanation all the material needed for the creation of worlds, gods and men. How to become aware of that? There is a pause between the out breathing and in-breathing and that is where I feel, mortal life-experiences reveal the immortal within me. The more individuals hold on to the superficiality of the outer, the emptier the inner becomes. To get lost in a maze of desire is no excuse for not taking full responsibility of my action and reaction. That goes for my materialistic obligations as well as the well being of my inner self. To me the pause in between the in and out breathing, represents the soil in which the mind-seedlings of formative life are sown and activated to grow and bring fruit. To become self-aware is to take full responsibility of that both, in action and reaction.

Book continued:

This is the prototype of our waking days and sleeping nights as men. Of our disappearance from the scene at the end of one little human life and our return again to take up the unfinished work in another life in a new day.

Comment:

This is where my way of thinking seems to differ. Physical incarnations are not separate from any after death states of the mind. As the inner man, always ‘I am’. Physical life only comes alive for me if I look at it as a symbolic language, in concrete terms it gives me an overview of Life’s continuous evolutionary struggle for expression. I perceive the inner planes as the flow, the outer as the ebb, symbol of a turning point for subjective-objective life burrowing deeper into its own true self.

Book continued:

The day of Brahma is said to last one thousand years, and his night is of equal length. In the Christian Bible is a verse saying that one day is as a thousand years to the Lord and a thousand years as one day. It would be of more value if construed to be a statement of the periodical coming forth for great days and nights of equal length of the universe of manifested worlds.

Comment:

The above has taken root in my mind. Growth follows understanding which in turn is food for thought. Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah, Moses etc. are not men, but represent the masks of Ages, each lasting round about two thousand years. They align to the science of Astrology, the seven cosmic rays, the seven principles within the human constitution unfolding into time and space to evolve in consciousness.

Book continued:

No mind can comprehend the infinite and absolute unknown, which has no beginning or end,  shall have no end, which is both last and first , because, whether differentiated or withdrawn into itself, it ever is.

Comment:

Strangely I can comprehend the infinite and unknown, simply by knowing that the unknown is nothing unless it can reflect itself in the known. The difficulty lies in self-deception, it comes through personal, ego and cultural aggrandisement. We are all individuals locked in a battle of self-righteousness while life passes us by.

Book continued

Cosmic evolution, so far as it relates to this solar system, begins and occupies between one and two billions of years in evolving the very ethereal first matter, before the astral kingdoms of mineral, vegetable, animal and men are possible. This second step takes some three hundred millions of years, and then still more material processes go forward for the production of the tangible kingdoms of nature including man. This covers over one and one-half billions of years. And the number of solar years in the present ‘human’ period is over eighteen millions of years.

Comment:

Here is a trap for the highly skilled and educated intellect. To get all involved in scientific, mathematical, religious and philosophical studies tends to dismiss the senses, even though they are the living breath of objective life on earth. Speculation and doctrines, information and discoveries do not bring about living experiences.

Book continued:

Wherever a world or worlds and systems are evolving, there the plan has been laid down in universal mind, the original force comes from spirit; the basis is matter, which is in fact invisible. Life sustains all the forms requiring life, and Akasa (light of the astral, world of the ‘Shining ones’) is the connecting link between matter on one side and spirit-matter on the other.

Comment:

Surely spirit, matter and life are the manifestation of everything. My vision is of a much more simple nature; the first building material is within my heart, formed by my unfolding mind and animated by soul-transforming power. That feeds the continuum of life on earth objectified. Akasa is made up of spirit-soul energies and mind-matter substance. How it manifests itself is up to individual life atoms and how they attune to the expanding universe theory.  It can also be seen as every end holds within itself a new beginning, thus bringing all things together, no matter how far apart.

Book continued:

Theosophy alone, inclusive of all systems and every experience, gives the key, the plan, the doctrine, the truth.

Comment:

Why not simply say, the key to the truth lies within your own heart, mind and soul. It does not need anything but life that ever is revealing itself through you. Be aware of social orders,, partnerships, marital institutions etc. which sets the free spirit apart from individual evolutionary life. It takes a brave heart, an understanding of the interaction of psycho-mental and biological powers coupled with the spirit of individual and planetary karma, to avoid the pitfalls of conforming to doctrines, ideal plans etc. that are but comfort zones for materialistic mankind.

Book continued:

Just as the universal evolution is septenary, so the evolution of humanity sevenfold in its constitution, is carried on upon a septenary Earth. This is spoken of in Theosophical literature as the Seven-fold Planetary Chain and is intimately connected with Man’s special evolution.

Comment:

If Man’s special evolution means ‘my’ innermost Self, as a seven-fold mediating consciousness acting as the link in that chain, then I feel that individual free will and choice should be highlighted, as a reminder that the user is responsible and  answerable to no one and nothing but his own  participation in it.. The ever mounting problem of physical identifying mankind should never be allowed to interfere with that…

Chapter 3:

The view put forward by Theosophy regarding the Earth’s, Human, Animal and other monads, is quite different from modern ideas, and in some things contrary to accepted theories. But the theories of today are not stable. They change with each century, while the Theosophical one never alters.

Comment:

Theories change with every new century, so you state. Surely because it corresponds to the outer, Nature’s laws adapting to the flow of seasons, time and ages. So does the inner nature of ‘Being’ adapt to the evolution of Karma unfolding from within out through the mind, heart and soul of man.

A theory can never be anything but speculative because it has to adapt to life which is change everlasting. Therefore any theory that feels right for one individual might feel wrong for another. There is only one judge, the individual’s own relationship with it.

Book continued:

The Earth is one of seven globes in respect to man’s consciousness only, because when he functions on one of the seven he perceives it as a distinct globe and does not see the other six.

Comment:

That is only true if the mind puts on blinkers and cuts itself off from wholeness or continuum awareness.

Book continued:

The stream or mass of Egos which evolves on the seven globes of our chain is limited in number, yet the actual quantity is enormous. Though the universe is limitless and infinite, yet in any particular portion of Cosmos in which manifestation and evolution have begun, there is a limit to the extent of manifestation and to the number of Egos engaged therein.

Comment:

In terms of consciousness, manifestation is involution, (to be born into space and time). Evolution is eternity-consciousness mediating and bringing dynamic equality into the space between spirit and matter by unfolding the seven principles from within out, which on the outer level can be observed as the expanding universe from measured time towards timelessness. Individually perceived it is the expansion of the ring pass not of incarnations towards the evolution of the ego or eternity consciousness. The choice lies with every individual’s free will and choice to rise above the mass of Egos or ‘life-wave’ strangled by compartmentalising feeling, thought and experiences.

Book continued:

Theosophy distinctly teaches that on the Americas is to be evolved the new-sixth-race; and here all the races of the earth, are now engaged in a great amalgamation from which will result a very highly developed sub-race, after which others will be evolved by similar processes until the new one is completed.

Comment:

Isn’t that rather getting stuck in the circles of time on the physical level, highlighting the failure of the sovereignty of the seven-fold ‘Being’ of Earth and Humanity? Evolution is the guiding principle of transcendental unity, where nothing is left behind but the evolutionary pull forward and onward.  Instead we have raped the Earth again and again, taken a hundredfold and given back nothing.

Book continued:

The ancient and true theory is, that no evolution is possible without the ‘monad’ as vivifying agent.

In the first stage there is neither animal nor vegetable, next comes the mineral when the whole mass hardens, the ‘monads’ all being imprisoned within.

Comment:

If the hardening is an emanation-creation of the spirit within, why is there the feeling of imprisonment?

Book continued:

The first monads emerge into vegetable forms which they construct themselves, and no animals yet appear. Next the first class of monads emerges from the vegetable and produces the animal, then the human astral and shadowy model, and we have minerals, vegetables, animals and future men, for the second and later classes are still evolving in the lower kingdoms. When the middle of the fourth round is reached no more monads emerge into the human stage and will not until a new planetary mass, reincarnated from ours, is made.

Human beings did not appear here in two sexes first. The first were of no sex, then they altered into hermaphrodite, and lastly separated into male and female. And this separation into male and female for human beings took place over 18,000,000 years.

Comment:

It is time to live according to the intent of manifesting this evolutionary vivifying agent, the inner man. That is my right of ‘Being’. All around me might be chaos, my incarnation full of pain and sorrow, yet my one pointed concentration on growing from within out, is towards the unification of all that which is separated. The key to that is soul-consciousness transcending the psycho-mental as well as the physical levels of life.

Chapter 4

But when the true teaching is known it will be seen that the care of the soul, which is the self, is a vital matter requiring attention every day, and not to be deferred without grievous injury resulting to the whole man, both soul and body

When we place the soul between spirit and the body, we come very close to the necessity for looking into the question of the soul’s responsibility. This threefold scheme of the nature of man contains, in fact, the Theosophical teaching of his seven-fold constitution, because the four other divisions missing from the category can be found in the powers and functions of body and soul.

Comment:

In my mind there is no division. The first revelation of Self is soul-consciousness, it expresses itself right down to the physical level and differentiating individually but staying true to its source or origin its intent remains the evolution of life in Self-awareness. Ultimately time and space are only important in that they are sign-posts to the revelation of the One within the many, or the Macrocosm reflected in the microcosm.

May be there are too many teachings, theories and plans throughout history acting as a distraction away from the source. I personally have learned more by living every day for better or worse, listening to the needs of my body as well as aligning to inner food for thought which comes from many and often quite unexpected ways and direction. I do not belong to anything specific, but find myself attuning to anything that is not destructive to the planetary being struggling to evolve in tune with my own spirit within, will of life to be and evolve.

Chapter 5

The human body is considered by the Masters of Wisdom to be the most transitory, impermanent, and illusionary of the whole series of constituents, in man. The cell is an illusion. It is merely a word, it has no existence.

Comment:

To my mind the physical level is no more an illusion than are the psychological states of physical life; a glimpse behind the worlds of formation and activity. The word made flesh, the testament of the soul of time in space, objectified to its smallest detail in life on Earth.

Life to me is spirit-will seeking its opposite, matter. That is the essence of the creative principle within the universe which expresses itself through the soul of man. Unfolding human and elemental mind-principles is sevenfold. Unless the unit is fulfilled nothing truly exist and ‘Being is a forgotten dream-ideal.

Book continued:

There are many names for the astral body, and the best one of all; ethereal, phantom, wraith, apparition, doppelganger, personal man, irrational soul, animal soul, spook, devil, demon. Some of these only apply to the astral body when devoid of the corpus after death.

Devil and Elementary are nearly synonymous. When it is released from the body and the mind it is thus separated from conscience, is a devil in their estimation. They are not far wrong, if we abolish the old notion that a devil is an angel fallen from heaven, for this bodily devil is something which rises from the earth.

Comment:

The soul of man manifests as a twin-soul and mind, human and elemental. Manifesting in dynamic equilibrium they tell the story in elemental life-forms of the unfolding human mind reflecting the universal mind. They need to work together in dynamic harmony if they are to objectify an inner, living, breathing reality, clothed in thought-formative substance activated by the evolution of consciousness. It is only the personalised devil, god or individual that distorts the seven octaves and fourfold picturesque panorama of Nature.

The brain-mind is in constant contact with the astral and mental worlds, it is the computer that sets the record of their existence, whether dead or alive, in my waking or sleeping state I am aware of that simple fact.

Book continued:

In the ordinary man who has not been trained in practical occultism or who has not the faculty by birth, the astral body cannot go more than a few feet from the physical one. It is a part of that physical body; it sustains it and is incorporated in it just as the fibres of the mango are all through that fruit. But there are those who, by reason of practices pursued in former lives on the earth, have a power born with them of unconsciously sending out the astral body. These are mediums, some seers, and many hysterical, cataleptic and scrofulous people. Those who have trained themselves by a long course of excessively hard discipline which reaches to the moral and mental nature and quite beyond the power of the average man of the day, can use the astral form at will, for they have gotten completely over the delusion that the physical body is a permanent part of them, and, besides, they have learned the chemical and electrical laws governing in this matter.

Comment:

In my observations the ordinary man as well as the trained occultist is guilty of the misuse of astral or psychic powers misused. The latter by objectifying a trained over-dominant manipulating the subjective nature within him and all around him ,breathing through the Nature. There is no excuse in this day and age for making no effort ‘to know’ or suffering from an over-grown ego seemingly knowing too much. Unless the two meet subjective-objective mind energies, instinct and intellect, elemental and human, forming the astral or desire body, working  as one, natural man lives in confusion and at cross purposes, not only with himself, but the Earth and the Solar system as a whole.

Book continued:

The Theosophical philosophy does not deny the facts proven in spiritualistic ‘séances’, but it gives an explanation wholly opposed to that of the spiritualists.

Three explanations are offered:

First:

That the astral body of the living medium detaches itself from its corpus and assumes the appearance of the so called spirit, for one of the properties of the astral matter is the capacity to reflect an image existing unseen in ether.

Second:

The actual astral shell of the deceased, wholly devoid of his or her spirit and conscience, becomes visible and tangible when the condition of air and ether is such as to so alter the vibration of the molecules of the astral shell that it may become visible.

Third:

An unseen mass of electrical and magnetic matter is collected, and upon it is reflected out of the astral light a picture of any desired person either dead or living. This is taken to be the ‘spirit’ of such persons, but it is not, and has been justly called by H.P.B. A ‘psychological fraud’, because it pretends to be what it is not.

Comment:

We all live within the body of a greater ‘Being’. In this case I neither agree nor disagree with the Theosophists or the Spiritualists. The reason for that is that I live and breathe and have my being within my own inner Self or soul which animates the mental, astral and the physical aether as one dynamic continuum. My spirit-spark has access to all these levels. Using the soul as its vehicle, which in turn uses the mind and further on the astral as their vehicles of manifestation, my spirit is never apart from their unfolding when in the atmosphere of the five-fold human kingdom, it is at the same time in the fourfold astral and threefold of positive-perceptive and collective energy-body body and the dual nature of the body of flesh which in reality is the concrete symbol of the seven-fold body of ‘Man’, one God of life on Earth.

Continuum awareness to is me, that which strives towards the revelation of the inner man. WE are all individually different in expression and evolution, what is good for one might be bad for another; we can only be judge of our own and never that of another. But acquiring wholeness awareness can bring us in touch with many others like-minded and agreeing to disagree with others.

Book continued:

The astral which are the real organs, do the seeing and hearing, and as all material objects are constantly in motion among their own atoms, the astral sight and hearing are not impeded, but work at a distance as great as the extension of the astral light or matter around and about the earth. Thus it was that the great seer Swedenborg saw houses burning in the city many miles off, and by the same means any clairvoyant of the day sees and hears at a distance.

Comment:

Just so, but that leaves it open for any individual to learn to trust and listen to its innermost self, whether that is with the help of Spiritualism, Theosophy, Theology, Philosophy, the arts, what matters is the end-result, clear seeing in his or her own karmic right. The truth lies within each one of us, whatever tools we use is up to us and none has the right to judge another or think his or her way is the right and only way. In the last analysis what counts is self-knowledge that is the very breath of continuum-awareness.

Trust no one, not even your own outer self, but learn to trust your free spirit within who forever sees both sides of the coin.

Chapter 6

Suggestions given by some of the Adepts gave the name kama-rupa to the fourth principle of man’s constitution. The reason was that in Sanskrit language Kama means ‘desire’, and as the idea intended to be conveyed was that the fourth principle was the body or mass of desires and passions adding the Sanskrit word Rupa which means the body.

Comment:

That would apply to the number four, the fourth root race, principle, cosmic ray etc.  as I see it as the objectification of the psycho-mental inner levels clothed in the substance of the lower mental and astral bodies. They live and have their essential being in the sea-fires of the unconscious and appear periodically in the four  kingdoms on Earth. reflected in the animal kingdom but not in the other kingdoms of nature.

Book continued:

The west divides man into intellect, will, and feeling, but it is not understood whether the passions and desires constitute a principle in themselves or are due rates divergence between it and Theosophy.

Comment:

I know that psychic powers are far more developed in eastern nations, but I am not impressed when they are used for physical phenomena. In my eyes that is as egotistical as brutal, materialistic men. Neither shows any knowledge of the human condition of which is a psychological problem, not a power game.

Book continued:

The fourth principle is the balance principle of the whole seven. It stands in the middle, and from it the ways go up or down. ‘It is the basis of action and the mover of the will (of formative thought, feeling and experiences analysed). As the old Hermetists say “Behind will stands desire”, whether we wish to do well or ill we have to first arouse within us the desire for our course.

Comment:

My course from a very young age has been; Potential creative expression is the desire of my will for life, both in its fleeting expressions through incarnations and its spiral-conscious-evolution on the inner planes.

If as I believe and know, self or wholeness awareness manifests as the mediator on the inner as well as the outer worlds, my choice should ever be to balance between the two, or manifest as the fourth principle, the middle point between the sevenfold ‘Being’ which I am.

Book continued:

The desires and passions therefore have two aspects, the one being low and the other high. The fourth principle is like the sign Libra in the path of the Sun through the Zodiac; when the sun (who is the real man) reaches that sign he trembles, in the balance. Should he go back the worlds would be destroyed; he goes onward the whole human race is lifted up to perfection.

Comment:

True man ever trembles in the balance, yet ancient and modern history would suggest, that he is forever going back and worlds are ever more efficiently destroyed.

Book continued:

During life the emplacement of the desires and passions may be strengthened, diminished or increased, debased or purified.

At death the astral body becomes a mere shell; for when a man dies his astral body and principle of passion and desire, leave the physical in company and coalesce. It is then that the term Kama rupa may be applied. Although it is empty of mind and consciousness, it has powers of its own that can be exercised whenever the conditions permit.

Comment:

I can’t accept that. The mind lives on. It is only the brain, the biological and organic chemistry that falls back into physical life on earth. Physical humanity does not seem to accept that life is essentially communication. The brain is a concrete symbol of that communication, starting point between spirit and matter, soul and mind, elemental and human, weaving the patterns of nature on the one hand and the psychic emotional and sensual nature of homo-sapiens on the other. Active intelligence weaves the web of life on inner and outer levels and since I look at Life as interactive, ceaseless communication which is anywhere and everywhere nothing is ever empty of mind or consciousness for me.

Book continued

Conditions are furnished by the medium of the spiritualists and in every séance room where the astral shells of deceased persons are always present waiting to delude the sitters, whose powers of discrimination have been destroyed by wonderment. It is the devil of the Hindus…. and a worse enemy the poor medium could not have. As the mass of the desires and passions abandoned by the real person who has fled to ‘heaven’ and has no concern with the people left behind, least of all with séances and mediums. Hence, being devoid of the nobler soul, these desires and passions work only on the very lower part of the medium’s nature and stir up no good elements, but always the lower leanings of the being.

The development of the germs of mind, made man because it constituted the great differentiation. The God within begins with Manas or mind, it is the struggle between this god and the brute below which Theosophy speaks of and warns about. The lower principle is called bad because by comparison with the higher it is so, but still it is the basis of action.

For these reasons the old doctrines are given out again to satisfy the mind as it grows more and more, until at last, all dogmatism ends and the race is ready to face all problems, each man for himself, all working for the good of the whole, and that the end will be the perfecting of those who struggle to overcome the brute

Theosophy asks everyone to reflect whether to give way to the animal below or look up and be governed by the God within…

Comment:

The god within is the source, it has neither beginning nor end. That whichever is cannot be classified, it is the centre point of all living things, differentiating in perception and conscious awareness, in that its energies can be abused, misplaced, deserted etc.

The god within has been deserted by men. That explains civilisations where the astral ocean of emotion is illustrated as comfort zones, love personalised and the psycho-mental worlds glorified full of power addiction, ecstatic ego-trips to the extent of criminality and insanity. Everybody lives a lie, because nobody seems to have an understanding of what controls them`. They all look for themselves outside their own lives, comparing, achieving, learning, being taught, the endless search for the self outside, while life passes them by…

Month of May continued with:

THOUGHTS AND OBSERVATIONS ON THE SECRET DOCTRINE, THE MAHATMA LETTERS AND THEOSOPHY IN GENERAL:

Mind c)

I open up the book randomly and read Mahatma Letter 127:

“It is the fire that burns in the eternal light when the fuel is expended and the flame extinguished for that fire is neither in the flame nor in the fuel, not yet inside either of the two, but above beneath and everywhere.”

Mind a)

“Soul-consciousness is the emanation of the ‘spirit spark’, (‘the fire that burns in the eternal light). Soul–consciousness, the ‘flame’ of ‘light’, in dynamic equilibrium with the soul-triple-flame, core of the ego-triple-flame or eternity consciousness. This is fuel to the manifesting ‘Universe’ including individual lives.

Running out of fuel simply means that energies are wasted, misplaced or misused by the unfolding mind of Man, the mediator, who in time rises out of densest matter as subjective-objective and collective awareness…

The upper and lower triangle meet in the fourth principle within the human constitution, the sea-fires of the unconscious, where positive and negative aspects of life-conscious-energies objectify as opposites seeking idiosyncrasy and synthesis.

The conflict of the opposites emanates from the mediator, the Androgyne.

Civilisations are built on mind concept, the written and spoken word doctored and recorded, to suit whatever powers are in control.

.

“A concept is a circling around an object, without the experience of feeling or visual effects. It represents the act of shutting the door on creative imagination whose fabric and tonalities are the song of infinite vibrating lives in tune with their core.”

                                                                                                                       L.G.

The core of Life on Earth including the four kingdoms on Earth are a metaphor of life of which the fourth creative Hierarchy is the source using Self-awareness as the hierarch of active intelligence throughout the kingdoms on Earth and beyond, lighting up the space-time continuum,.

                                                        **************

Mind a)

Is it worthwhile to go through some of these letters to try and understand them from a more up to date point of view?

Mind b)

I do think so, after all, Theosophy and especially ‘The Secret Doctrine’ are supposed to be the most inspiring studies of the immediate past, so let’s have a go.

Mind a)

The first few letters talk about kinetic energy, yoga disciplines, psychic phenomena, astral projection, clairvoyance, re-incarnation etc.

New Age Thought is full of it.

The question is, has it anything to do with the essence of Theosophy i.e. wisdom-knowledge, and its understanding and practicality today?

Some talk about the Age of Aquarius as if it were the end of thousands of years of Dooms-day prophesies i.e.

I personally feel that; ‘the Judge, the Judged and the Jury is as ‘one’, an inner trial and responsibility of the Self of free born man. That includes making wrong judgements and learning by them; it should be the heart centre of every self-conscious being, balancing the two poles of energy, positive and negative and of life, force and form.

I saw on the cover of ‘the bulletin of Atomic Scientists’ the face of a clock. Its hands are set at seven minutes to midnight; a symbol of the ‘future’, the worlds approach to a nuclear doomsday,’ explains the Bulletin’s editor, Bernard Field. “As the Bulletin begins its 35th year, we feel impelled to record and to emphasize the accelerating drift towards world disaster in almost all realms of social activity.”

Mind c)

In the very distant past, it was rumoured that in the fourth round of Atlantis, at the dawn of objective consciousness, (birth of the Ages of Reason) the subduing of the forces of Nature brought about tribal and social progress, leading to modern days, fourth to fifth round of the Aryan Races, scientific research and studies would bring in the Atomic Age of intellectual academic studies, which some look at as another dooms day prophesy for humanity, because of its negations of natural and universal laws which in this, a new Age, has brought about;

“Conspiracies globally invading the human mind, where cruelty finds no sleep, wars are fought, within, outside, at home, abroad, in every land, merciless unrest. Principles and memories conflicting and distorted, greed for money a global problem, the culprit of all these deceptions is Man, who should beware, because the law of Karma, balance of the way of Life Itself manifests on all levels of Life, inner and outer. If Man’s vanity interferes with that, on whatever level, it is felt on all other levels. The responsibility of redemptive or destructive Karma is entirely up to free born man.”

                                                                                        L.G.

Mind c)

The vehicle of objective consciousness is the Intellect, originally meant to go hand in hand with subjective consciousness, the Instinct.

The conflict between the two has given the persona or mask, the power to rise as the usurper of the throne of the soul, and reign supreme in a world more and more dealing with artifacts and artificiality. All eastern initiative mystery schools are avoiding that.

Mind a)

Jung describes it as the ‘mana-personality’, where individuals seemingly take on the impersonal and universal nature of mind-powers, manifesting as enormous ‘egotism’, characterised by an ever growing conflict of the opposites.

The after death states of the mind suffer accordingly, because in truth, there is no separation between the astral-mental and physical energies of manifesting life, separation is delusional.

Generations have been instructed to live according to rules and regulations of whatever system and culture, exoteric or esoteric, they are born into.

That takes away individual self-conscious responsibility, which reduces the understanding, purpose and meaning, not only of life on Earth, but the fulfilment of solar life.

To depend on physical identification alone leads the persona down a blind alley. How can a free spirit breathe in all this?”

Mind c)

This is obviously what mystery schools east and west tried to avoid in their teachings, demonstrating that the divine spark must set itself free of any interference from outside, so that it may not be affected by institutionalised humanity.

“The free spirit within is not only the heart of creation, but Life itself in whatever form or level its expressions appear.  It strengthens action and reaction from the highest inner worlds to densest physical matter.”

                                                                                      L.G.

Mind c)

With the best of intentions this is what the Mahatmas tried to do behind the scene of materialistic powers.

Letter 4 page 11;

“I could assuredly make no objection to the style which you have kindly adopted in addressing me by name, since it is, as you say, the outcome of a personal regard etc.”

Further down towards the end of page 11:

“A crisis in a certain sense is upon us now, and must be met. Tibet, for I may tell you in confidence, that Russia is gradually massing her forces for a future invasion of that country under the pretext of a Chinese war. If she does not succeed it will be due to us, and herein, we will deserve your gratitude.”

Mind b)

KH talks about Russia as a ‘She’ and China as a ‘He’, which I find intriguing. Does he see Russia as a powerful primordial female principle and China as an equal powerful primordial male principle?

Mind c)

Yes, as a metaphor of the male-female principles within the Androgen, true man, which represents the building blocks of the constitution of individual lives within the Universe. KH  consented with further advanced minds, using occult power (psycho-mental powers)  for the freedom of Tibet, a hidden sanctuary for eastern Mystery schools, hoping to avoid their destruction.

Mind b)

Is that not a personalised i.e. biased view, adding to the problem of separatism?

Mind c)

Indeed, it is the predicament of human races, trapped in ever diminishing cycles and circles of time, to get stuck between the ever increasing powers for control between nations.

Every individual is born with free will and choice which often turns into ‘Error running down an inclined plane, while truth has to laboriously climb its way up hill’, is a very old saying.

The deciding factor and regulator is Karma, in which defence, but never attack is allowed.

Mind b)

In an age where communication is the internet, can the work of karma, the law of adjustment still work?

Mind c)

“Symbolically understood, the divine human spark is like a drop in the ocean of life, each drop carries within itself the essence of the ocean.

What is important in all this is the visionary experience of the descent of spirit into matter, which begins with an ocean of wisdom-knowledge and exists long before and will carry on, long after it has swept across the physical planes.

‘Homo-Sapiens’are part of all that, yet the majority of humans are happy to vegetate.

No matter how knowledgeable and glamorous their appearance, they have not reached, and might never reach, the state of ‘Pure-Being’.

Mind b)

If I understand this right; the fourth kingdom on earth is inhabited by Homo sapiens, (‘wise men’) through which the three lower kingdoms live and breathe and have their ‘being’.

The acquiring of self-knowledge leads to the essence of what it means ‘to be human’. It is overshadowed by the soul, whose vehicle is the mind, expressed throughout the ages.  So whatever happens materialistically is of no importance?

Mind c)

I would say yes and no! Materialistic obligations should  be fulfilled, but not to a point where it interferes with creative potential, child of spirit descending and matter ascending, a mystical-mythical experience of infinite hosts of live-waves coming together as one.

Mind a)

In other words it is up to each incarnating Individual’s action and reaction to insights, and to observe with discrimination?

My experience is that creative sentient thought within my heart, transcends energies stimulated by esoteric and exoteric literature and philosophies, it spontaneously nurtures the rhythm of creation beyond that which is apparent.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

There is no love without hate, no sleep without the waking state etc. nothing exists within or outside myself without its opposite.

The forces that bring about change are outwardly seen in the living kingdoms of Nature, serving the process of growth, nutrition and reproduction.

Likewise the idiosyncrasy of soul qualities, animates and gives character to the psycho-mental levels.

I experience myself as a human charioteer, a metaphor of my ego, drawn by five horses, symbolic of the five senses. It either goes the way of least resistance, into individual-emotional concretion, or laboriously climbs towards the light of my soul ,transcending the senses which in time lifts all kingdoms on Earth into a higher vibration.

Sensory perception is activated between pain and joy, shedding light onto mental-emotional experiences that reveal the intricate nature of intelligent life, visible and invisible.

Mind b)

New age thought is all about kinetic energies, yoga disciplines, magical psychic powers, astral projection etc. globally taught, under many labels and names, for one reason alone; intense emotional gratification and intellectual achievements.

The new Age God seems to be ‘Mammon-Mammoth’ appearing as a ferocious Beast, more and more hungry for the sensation and elation of power.

I feel totally overwhelmed and desperate about it all.

Mind c)

Progress in limitation weakens men; the struggle to evolve, strengthens them.

Mind a)

I can attune to that;

Existence is in a state of constant transition because of its evolutionary struggle to wake up to itself.

That which makes humans inhuman, is the ego getting involved with obsessions of perfecting the phenomenal worlds, translated into materialistic might.

The elevation of physical forms onto a superficial level, lacks simple common sense.

After all worlds, rise and fall by cultural and individual choice of being irresponsible or responsible.

In weighing up both positive and negative, or seeing both sides of the coin and by mediating between the opposites within, without, above and below, I get a holistic view, which is timeless, and reveals itself in the dynamic neutrality of the law of Karma. Freedom of choice, for better or worse, lies at the heart of human consciousness.

Is not every single atom and cell subject to the same law?

Yet human pride and prejudice would have it otherwise and will not allow life’s failures, or see its challenge for redemption.

Mind c)

The state of ‘Being’ has been ignored, misused and misled by human ignorance on the one hand and mind-cult-manipulation on the other.

Planetary life under the dictatorship of mankind has been chewed up and spat out to a point where bountiful Nature is depleted.

Mind b)

So what of sleep and death and the rest periods, on the astral and mental levels?

Mind c)

There can be no real knowledge of the invisible worlds without an understanding of the visible, whose medium is human soul-conscious perception.

Using the mind as the building  block of the mechanical universe ,in which all living things succumb to death, it yet is the door to the inner way, often called, transfiguration of the form, ‘the word made flesh’ etc.

The common sense view of Individuals is that they are bodies which are awake, (objective consciousness), dreaming (the psyche or subjective consciousness) or in deep sleep (collective unconscious).

The sleep state is the recharging of the power battery of physical life in its triplicity of consciousness. It is life, active intelligence in existence.

Whether in physical incarnation, awake or asleep, life is energy, it forever is, the One Consciousness appearing as the Many, it does not cease ‘to be’.

Unfortunately human feeling, thought and egotistical pride, is obsessed with inequality, which in turn upsets the universal time-scale.

As Plotinus taught:

“If we ‘hold through our own centre to that centre of all centres,’ we will discover that our consciousness is the One consciousness.

Mind a)

By clinging to physical, factual and purely literal existence, we upset the ebb and flow, not only between the centre and the periphery, but interfere with elemental powers as well as affect the astral and psycho-mental levels that regulate physical bodies and their natural functioning.

The consequence of that is, the subjective-objective and collective unconscious become a reservoir of polluted and poisonous energies

As long as the alignment of the spirit of life with the spirit of wisdom runs parallel with the spirit of time and space,  evolutionary life and consciousness is; ‘in being’, flowering into the inter-communication between microcosm and macrocosm.

The struggle to bridge the ever widening gap between the macrocosm and the microcosm is the responsibility of the human divine spark, emanation of the one source into the worlds of creative potential.

Its struggle is recorded in the mythical-mystical stories of life on Earth ridiculed by modern Literalists…

Mind c)

Theosophy teaches that the individuality (which is conceived as the spiritual or higher mind), at each re-birth, projects a new personality, the qualities and tendencies of which are drawn from the sum-total of all past lives. All the past experiences are within and behind each personality.

Words of modern languages have lost their original meaning because of their superficiality.

Mind a)

I see the personality as a build up of an artificial intelligence based on a brain-mind programming-computerised system.

The individuality I see as a sociological anthropomorphic intelligence based on an incarnation-psycho-mental understanding).

Between the two stands the ego, ‘eternity-consciousness’ i.e. self-conscious potential open to incarnating egos, ready to fuel the evolution of consciousness, heart-beat of creation.

I feel that mankind as a whole has stigmatised its responsibility to evolution. By knowing how it works in all its complexity they have forgotten how to live it.

Yet that should not stop individuals in their evolutionary march through time and space if their one pointed concentration is to experience the oneness of Life itself.

I feel it is important to stay awake in responsibility and awareness on all levels of consciousness, inner and outer.

The statement that physical humanity is earth-bound, while astral and mental humanity in feeling and thought, automatically enter a higher world is surely nonsense?

Mind c)

May be the question is not between higher or lower, but whether individuals understand, who and what they are.

Continuum-awareness is their goal; it is relative to communication between the inner and outer levels of consciousness.

It is the key to the unlocking of any  mystery, which in turn means to know the cause, the origin, will and power of the spirit, power of soul-intent, unconditioned love of creativity, will and power of the mind unfolding, the building of universe’s, will and power of the heart, to nurture, cherish and evolve life in its entirety.

It is therefore within the power of every self-conscious seeker to open the door to the light of consciousness, which ever evolves in between positive and negative, force and form.

Mind b)

“So you see the predicament of communication as a mind-problem now, as it was in the days of the Mahatmas, HPB and the TS, yet with instant global communication through the internet could that problem now be solved?”

Mind c)

Communication in the written and spoken word has either become literal, scientifically proofed as physical fact and mystically caused visionary perception, but always tottering on a principle of probability, a half truth at best.

The Mahatma letters were a communication towards the foundation of the TS. While the Secret Doctrine is an accumulation of pearls of wisdom going back to the dawn of objective consciousness, estimated according to Theosophy to Lemuria and starting to manifest on Earth in the fourth round of Atlantis…

Mind a)

I find it very hard to get anything out of the letters, to me they are but political, logical and intellectual arguments, no different to studying religions, and cultures etc. what has it all to do with the evolution of life and consciousness?

Communication is the root cause of manifesting life. Expression needs form which is dual in its effect, triple in its manifestation.

It is a mind-communication through transcendental feeling, thought and experiences.

Mind b)

So the carrier of communication is the mind?”

Mind c)

In a way yes. Its centre point is soul-transforming power, its circumference the unfolding mind, its radius the psyche or soul of untold individual lives.

Mind b)

What if Individuals get trapped in brain-mind-programming?

Mind c)

It is their free will and choice to go the way of least resistance and suffer the effect of becoming an artificial intelligence, a purely outer orientated desire to entertain and be entertained, to put  happiness before experience and be fool enough to mistake a lie for the truth and nothing but the truth, to mistake injustice for justice, the list goes on and on through civilisation after civilisation their fortunes accumulate as misfortune, yet they are deaf, dumb and blind to it, their choice!

Mind a)

How sad, to me at any event.

Surely communication should be evocative, not only to the human, but to all life in its myriad expressions of manifestation. How can they reject that simple truth?

Mind b)

And what of the Cosmos, and what of the soul?

What of the divine plan, the evolution of consciousness? So many questions, so few answers!

Mind c):

The divine plan is an ideal theory apart from natural evolution. It is designed to control human feeling and emotions ,hopefully purified by the fire of the mind whose vehicle is the intellect, originally meant to act as a bridging consciousness between the conflict of the opposites,, created by human failures going contrary to the evolution of life and consciousness.

However far from acting as a bridging consciousness, the intellect has become a capricious plaything of cunning words and deeds for progress and humanitarian glory, at the expense of Nature and her bounty.

Earth humanity has more and more followed the dictations of an artificial society depending on the machine for their survival. Nothing is sacred anymore. Religious and secret societies, using mind over matter, controlling everything at the expense of practical common sense, on the other hand are the secret enlightenment of mammon-mammoth.

Mind b)

Do you mean today that evolution cannot be put into a structured plan?

Mind a)

I for one am suspicious of plans!

Mind c)

Always life, time and space are in motion. The essence of life is change, the essence of time is action, the essence of space is evolution, the essence of consciousness is Karma, as above, so below, action and reaction of conscious growth, in life and in death soul-transforming power manifesting to adjust life and evolution from the finite to the infinite life, changing action to self-knowledge, marriage of spirit and matter whose children are the ‘homo-sapiens’ (‘man’ -the genus name- and  ‘sapiens’, ‘wise’ -the species name-), to objectify the essence of life, time and space,  manifesting as the ‘Human-Being-Man’ on Earth; as seen from the Secret Doctrine (HPB) and ‘The Divine Plan G.A.Barborka

Mind c)

,

“The secret teachings show the divine Progenitors creating men on seven portions of the globe i.e. a different race of men externally and internally, and on different zones.

SD quotes:

“In the first beginnings of life (human), the only dry land was on the Right end i.e. the North Pole of the sphere where it is motionless. The whole Earth was one vast watery +desert, and the waters were tepid.

There man was born on the seven zones, the immortal, the indestructible the Manvantara. There was eternal spring in darkness.  (That which is darkness to the man of today was light to the man of his dawn).  It was they who brought into being, men on seven portions of the globe.”

The Lunar Pitris or Gods (evolutionary influence) behind the instinct manifesting as subjective life

Fathers                    Moon Gods

Progenitors             Sons of Soma (the Moon)

Ancestors                Sons of the Moon

Divine Progenitors  Pitris

Celestial men           Pitaras

Celestial Ancestors  Pitar-Devatas

Lunar Fathers           Barhishads

Lunar Progenitors    Barhishad Pitris

Lunar Sons               Four lower classes of Pitris

Lunar Gods              Corporeal Pitris

Lunar spirits             Dhyanis

Lunar Monads          Lords of the Moon

Lunar Pitris               Lunar Ancestors

Mind a)

I find it very hard to get some sort of picture of the above statement.

For instance;

Pitar Devata translated as crude forms. What could that possibly mean?

May be, first traces of the subjective mind on the descending arch?

Lunar Progenitors?

May be it is the offspring of the subjective mind, provided that ‘lunar’ means the descent of the unfolding subjective mind with the objective mind in latency?

Lunar Fathers?   (Translated sacred grass or those who sit by the sacred fire)

May be; the sperm of creative potential? The effect is the appearance of first life-forms on Earth?

Lunar Gods?

Essence of the male-female principle coming into manifestation

Lunar spirits?

Twilight of the anima-animus of subjective conscious life

Lunar Monads?

Spirit sparks of Homogeneity reflected on Earth as heterogeneous particles?

Lunar Pitris?

Mind a)

My tentative translation:

The reflectors of subjective consciousness, using the instinct as its vehicle of psychic perception. So we get the manifestation of subjective conscious life of Nature and the three lower kingdoms on Earth.

What about the fourth and youngest kingdom on Earth?

To me it simply means; the Son of Man (universal mind) with his appearance brings objective consciousness onto planet Earth; a living symbol of Consciousness and Life manifesting through him as Reason and Revelation.

Mind c)

Man, since time immemorial has tried to understand Life and perceived it as a Mystery i.e. GNOSIS.

It was looked at by the Ages as the Knowledge of Wisdom using the analogy of the circle of Self, They imagined;

Centre: One Consciousness

Radii: Many Psyches

Circumference: Many Bodies.

These explorers of Consciousness are Individuals alone or in groups,

Mind b)

In an intellectual way, it describes to me, the time clock on a mundane level, with minutes, hours, days, years and Ages ticking by.

I can also intuitively imagine the Wheel of the Zodiac recording human incarnations under the law of Karma, cause and effect of the manifesting Universe and unfolding Mind-principle.

Mind c)

SD continued:

The Solar Pitris;

The Manasa-Dhyanis?

The Solar Devas, the givers of objective consciousness.

Mind a)

Could they also be seen as ‘Beings’ which emanate the energies of subjective-objective perception?

I take it that by instinctual and intellectual is meant, the functioning of the mind principle, Manas, its subjective-objective awakening, that consequently spurs on the evolution of consciousness, without which man and the lower kingdoms would have continued in somnolence for uncounted ages.

Mind c)

According to Theosophy, it is because of this factor that man is able to hasten or retard his own evolutionary advancement.

While the mind principle is present in the animal kingdom it remains latent or dormant, that is, non-functioning, since the first two Races are technically termed ‘Amanasa’, the Races before literalism.

This second scheme of evolution, dealing with mental enlightenment for the human race, represents the pivotal factor regarding man’s development and appearance on earth.

“Man remained an empty sense-less ‘Bhuta,” (Anthropogenesis stanza IV.)

This senseless Bhuta, meaning a phantom, due to the non-functioning of mind-principle, would have continued for cycle upon cycle but for the assistance provided by exalted ‘Beings’ on the hierarchical ladder of Life, still more lofty than the Moon-gods.

Mind a)

Surely evolution is not based on a scheme but a natural happening between the life and consciousness.

So what should one make of the following lists of the SD?

Solar Fathers             Sons of Fire

Solar Ancestors         Sons of Wisdom

Solar Angels              Lords of Wisdom

Solar Pitris

                                   Agnishvattas

Manasaputras            Agnishvattas Pitris

Manasas                    3 higher classes of Pitris

Manasvin                  Incorporeal Pitris

Manasa Dhyanis       Vairajas

Dhyanis

Spiritual Dhyanis      Kumaras

Fire Dhyanis             Holy Sons

Sons of Mahat          Holy Yogis

Sons of Manas          Holy Ascetics

Mind-born Sons        Holy Virgin-born

Sons of Mind            Virgin Ascetics

Mind a)

Why are so many names used here?

And why should Man evolve on Earth separate from the three lower kingdoms and Nature?

Mind c)

The answer is that each name has a particular shade of meaning, which emphasizes a particular aspect of the teaching, which may be subdivided into three categories

1.   The Manas aspect

2.   The Agnishvatta aspect

3.   The Kumara aspect

The Manas aspect stresses the phase of the awakening of the Mind principle, at the same time calling attention to the fact that the Sons of Mind pertain essentially to the Lords of the Flame in very truth.

The Agnishatta aspect stresses the evolutional phase, with especial reference to the successful completion of the development of Manas therefore they are completely developed Solar Pitris.

The Kumara aspect represents the phase of enlightenment by direct assistance, in that the Holy Youths actually incarnated in a portion of the human race.

The Kumaras, “May indeed mark a ‘special’ or extra creation, since it is they who, by incarnating themselves within the senseless human shells of the two first root races, and a great portion of the Third Root race – create, so to speak, a new race, that of thinking, self-conscious and divine men.” SD I, 457.

Mind a)

As a counterbalance I would like to put in a few;Thoughts on western esoteric traditions;

Because I do feel that Theosophy tends to lean too much towards eastern mystics and their mystery traditions.

New Age Thought in the West is full of pseudo-Buddhism, Chinese unorthodox medicine, Theosophy with its eastern ideas of divine plans and initiations. It has increased the conflict of the opposites, almost ridiculing the individual free spirit within.

A one track mind over matter whether eastern or western leads to one goal; I am right you are wrong!

It is the Jew with its Kabbalistic Tree, who is stuck in between eastern and western thought, sticking out like a sore thumb

It does not accept or reject either Western or Eastern Mystery traditions.

I have a strong feeling that East and West, at least on a material plane, should run side by side, each charged with its own type of energy-thought-systems interacting between each other.

All mankind has one origin, together with the planets and this tiny solar system in an immense galaxy, one out of many, they all come into existence and ‘Being have one according to universal principles and laws.

There is a fine line between force and form, positive and negative that represents Life, the intercourse of spirit and matter. whose child is consciousness born on that fine existence and ‘being’ is combined in one dynamic and harmonious whole, which negates separation wholeheartedly.

I have spent many years trying to bring the practical application of eastern and western theories together, finding the Tree of Life the most suitable tool.

Simple, practical all over view of the Tree of Life as I envision it:

I see the human divine spark in deep sleep, in the veils of Ain-Soph-Aur which corresponds to the vast unconscious, the infinite One Source of evolutionary conscious life in force and for, thought and action.

I envision the world of emanation as the womb of the human divine spark, one amongst innumerable other life-sparks.

All life-sparks enter the four worlds of the Tree as triple-flames i.e. positive and negative with the balancing or earthing point in between.

In the human case the Soul-triple-flame is the emanation of soul-consciousness into inner and outer worlds of creation.

In other words; the spirit of the Life-force uses as its vehicle soul-consciousness, which, on the Tree represents the Ocean of Wisdom (Neptune), taking form in Saturn as the Spirit of Time using as its vehicle the soul-triple-flame sowing the mind-seedlings in Daarth or the black hole of consciousness, to grow from within out and unfold.

The Soul, guardian of the mind rises out of the black hole (Daath) as a twin, both human and elemental.

In other words the human subjective-objective and collective consciousness, unfolds through the mind, using the black hole of consciousness as its rest-period under the guardianship of the twin-soul of Man human (vulcan energies) and elemental, (Pluto energies).

The former ever answers to the magnetic pull inwards and upwards, towards the light of the life-force, the latter is drawn towards the magnetic pull down towards the form-side of matter.

Between the two is the fine, but dynamic line of the involution-evolution of consciousness, manifesting as cause and effect, the law of Karma or adjustment between that which is above and that which is below.

Self-consciousness is the earthing of the law of Karma.

I can go along with the biblical saying:

“For whoever does not know self, does not know anything, but whoever knows self already has acquired knowledge about the depth of the universe.”

The conflict of the opposites begins within Man the measure of all manifesting things. The Self or inner Man might be torn between the One and the Many, the upper and lower triangles of the principles within his constitution, but that makes him master or prisoner of himself, his own choice.

The burning ground i.e. the ‘sea-fires of the unconscious is the root-principle of GNOSIS, the search for ultimate knowledge of the universe is an experience that unfolds from within the Soul and mind of Man.

So the outcome of the conflict is the responsibility of the manifesting Self from the highest to the lowest matter of physical life.

It begins and ends within the soul, mind and body of Man, child of Spirit and Matter.

Wisdom manifesting in the form of measured time and space is recorded and understood by homo-sapiens (wise men)  who diligently incarnate and record their discoveries regarding existence, the after death states of the mind and the meaning and purpose of the involution-evolution of consciousness.

Spirit descending (the cause) implies matter ascending (the effect).

The child of the intercourse between spirit and matter is the involution-evolution of consciousness unfolding sevenfold, through human Self-knowledge or Gnosis.

The burning ground of this Gnosis is between the magnetic pull up and the magnetic pull down.

The root-cause of the conflict of the opposites, is because homo-sapiens either cling to that which is below or vice versa strives to hold on to that which is above, negating the middle or burning ground, the sea-fires of the unconscious.

This involves and affects the 7×7 deaths or transformation of intelligent life, from the simple to the highly complex in its struggling to evolve. .

.

I am aware that this is a crude vision of the wonder of Life which is experienced through my feeling, thinking and knowing intelligence, but it helps me to learn and observe, witness and perceive the law of magnetism all around, within above and below me adjusting to Karma, action and reaction, in everyday life as well as in my inner thoughts of visionary experiences, which aligns to the Occult Doctrine that says:

“Not only the chemical compounds are the same, but the same infinitesimal, invisible lives composing the atoms of the bodies of the mountain and the daisy, of man and the ant, of the elephant, and of the tree which shelters him from the sun. Each particle, whatever you call it organic or inorganic – is Life.“

Mind c)o

According to Theosophy; every atom and molecule in the Universe is both life-giving and death-giving to such forms, in as much as it builds by aggregation, universes and the ethereal vehicles, ready to receive the transmigrating soul, and also eternally destroys and changes the forms and expels those souls from their temporary abodes.

It creates and kills; it is self-generating and self-destroying, it brings into being, and annihilates, that mystery of mysteries, the living body of man, animal or plant, every second in time and space; and it generates equally life and death, beauty and ugliness, good and bad, and even the agreeable and disagreeable, the beneficent and maleficent sensations.

It is that mysterious LIFE, represented collectively by countless myriads of lives that follow in its own sporadic way, the hitherto incomprehensible law of Atavism.

Mind a)

I can’t see it quite the same way. Death is not annihilation but transformation and that does neither destroy nor kill, but simply reveals what is behind the appearance.

Life is energy and that energy is in a state of continuous transformation, a dynamic interaction between force and form, to me positive, perceptive and collective thought etc.

Everything grows from within out from the psycho-mental inner levels to the objectified physical outer levels, understood by human conscious consumption and recorded as the story of time and space fourfold throughout the seasons, cycles and rounds.

The silent watcher or observer is the inner man or warrior within, ever seeking to forge a link between the magnetic pull up and down and so lift not only his own but the vibrations of the lower kingdoms onto an ever finer expression and experience of evolution

The sea-fires of the unconscious should be seen as a filter)  where the lower and the higher triangles meet and wage war on each other, or learn to live in dynamic equilibrium with each other.

The meaning of it is individually different in experience and expression.

According to a few modern researchers like Freud, Adler, Rank, Horny, Fromm, Jung etc.; not one seems to agree with another wholeheartedly.

How I perceive it:

The five senses are a description of the outer world, a bio-social network, or matrix of fundamental distinctions.

This Bio-social Band from the human point of view is a pervasive mould of human awareness and behaviour patterns, because ‘as a person divides ‘reality’, so he acts’.

This takes into consideration the direct correspondence between psyches in their different stages of evolution.

Since the dawn of the Intellect, the objective mind has become more and more dominant, determining how a person (mask or shield of incarnating individual egos) should conventionalise and operate according to rules and regulations of different cultures, their traditions, beliefs and politics.

In the 21st century I feel social orders have fallen into a robotic state, mass produced by governments and their so called humanitarian set rules, which turn out to be a deadly and bloody game of materialistic fame, glamour and vanity.

 R.D. Laing in his

“Politics of Experience quotes:

Long before a thermonuclear war can come about, we have had to lay waste our own sanity. We begin with the children. It is imperative to catch them in time. Without the most thorough and rapid brainwashing, their dirty minds would see through our dirty tricks. Children are not yet fools, but we shall turn them into imbeciles like ourselves, with high I.Q.’s if possible.

From the moment of birth, when the Stone Age baby confronts the twentieth century mother, the baby is subjected to these forces of violence, called love, as its mother and father, and their parents and their parents before them, have been.

These forces are mainly concerned with destroying most of its potentialities, and on the whole this enterprise is successful. By the time the new human being is fifteen or so, we are left with a being like ourselves, a half-crazed creature more or less adjusted to a mad world. This is normality in our present age.

The condition of alienation, of being asleep, of being unconscious, of being out of one’s mind, is the condition of the normal man.

Mind b)

For me, that sums up how we have been educated into and conditioned human consciousness away from inner growth. The outcome is a purely materialistic, outer orientated personality, selfishly demanding gratification in all ways of human life.

Mind a)

I could agree with that. It negates Nature’s natural eco-system and interferes with the human body’s natural healing abilities and limits mental activity to the brain-mind, the outcome is an ever increasing conflict between the opposites, anima-animus within and the sexes without.

Mind c)

The Earth:

S.D. Quote about the Earth:

“Evolution proceeds in cycles, (on Earth) beginning in the First Round with mineral, vegetable, and animal which brings its evolutionary work on the descending arc to a dead stop in the middle of the fourth Race, at the close of the first half of the Fourth present Round, that this point has been reached.

On the descending arch it is the spiritual which gradually transformed into the material. On the middle line of the base, Spirit and Matter are equalised in Man. On the ascending arch, Spirit is slowly re-asserting itself at the expense of the physical, or matter, so that at the close of the seventh Race Round, the Monad (spirit-spark) will find itself free from matter, having gained in addition the experience and wisdom, the fruitage of all its personal lives, without their evil and temptations.”

Mind a)

Evolution is a matter of consciousness; it expresses itself intelligently throughout myriad life-forms.

Clinging to a purely materialistic world makes us all guilty of neglecting our child-like knowing, of belonging to Life It-Self, in whatever form.

From the Sea, from the great deeps came all life as is known not only by the ancient worship of the God Poseidon, the sea god, parent of all other sea gods, but by any child mind, that never grows old, but with all its senses feels the life-breath’s touch in a heart full of wonder, a mind full of expectation of inspiration and a soul full of acceptance that nothing lives on its own, but is free to be.

Thus the four elements live through the heart-centre, opening the mind’s eye and listening to the soul’s still inner voice breathing in and, throughout the whole of creation.

Life on Earth is but an inspired reflection of all that came before and all that which is to come. This knowledge and experience is the beginning without end of the time-flow that rises out of the depths of the Ocean of Neptune.

Mind c)

S.D. Quote:

“From the One Life formless and uncreated, proceeds the Universe of lives.

Spirit and matter, both are being the absolute life.

Everything in the metaphysical as in the physical Universe is septenary. Hence every sidereal body, every planet, whether visible or invisible, is credited with six companion globes. The evolution of life proceeds on these seven globes or bodies from the first to the 7th in Seven Rounds or Seven Cycles.

That brings us to the Doctrine of the Globes or Spheres.

S.D. Quote:

Spheres observe all the laws of Motion.

The seven fundamental transformations of the globes or heavenly spheres, or rather of their constituent particles of matter, are described as follows;

1; the homogeneous

2; the air form

3; curd-like nebulous

4; atomic ethereal

5; germinal fiery (differentiated but composed of the germs, only of the elements in their earliest states, they having seven states when completely developed on our earth

6; four-fold vapoury, the future Earth

7; Cold and depending on the Sun for life and light

Mind a)

I can only see through what I am, a septenary ‘Being’ incarnating on Earth into the fourth kingdom as the Hierarch responsible for the evolution of all life on Earth

I am objectively aware in my waking state, subjectively in my sleeping state which includes the after death states of the mind, conditioned by memory’s void or the lower abyss, (the moon) appearing as a different world to the outer, yet I know, that always I am.

Dion Fortune once wrote: “That which derives from our native folk tradition springs up like water from the soil, made alive by the good brown earth and fresh with the breath of herb and tree, it springs, it sparkles.

It vitalises a man’s nature because it puts him in touch with the sun-warmed, rain-wet earth- this native earth that his bare feet trod as a child when his soul was open and he still could feel the unseen.

It blows through his soul like the wind on high places; it drives over him like the waves of the open sea; and his heart leaps to it like the springing leaping flames of the living fire”

Now to me these are not just words categorised by scientific thought. It describes as I felt as a child, and still do in my old age. It carries on living within me, only that the child has added his two outer to its one inner eye, more and more awakening in each successive incarnation to its evolutionary right of manifesting as a seven principled Being into the inner and outer worlds, as a living ‘Being’ in mind, soul and heart forever young.

The following is how I perceive the seven principles, builders of the foundation of life on Earth, reflected in my own ‘Being’ and the spiral universe.

(1)  Homogeneous                    = human immortal Spark.

(2)  The radiant (gaseous)       = Soul-consciousness

(3)  Curd-like (nebulous)         = Soul-Triple-Flame

(4)  Atomic-ethereal                 = Sea-fires of the unconscious

(5)  Germs of the elements       = Collective unconscious

(6)  four-fold, vapoury               = Ego-triple-flame

(7)  Cold and depending           = Persona-triple-flame.

In my understanding, the seven cosmic rays interact with the sevenfold human-being, manifesting as Reason and Revelation, where a microcosmic image is the root-germ of the four elements towards evolutionary growth in active intelligence of all life.

I perceive it as my self-conscious responsibility together with the Earth-entity to evolve with all other planets, until their karmic cycles have evolved and fulfilled the zodiacal wheel of Eternity aligning with the Solar Being.

Only then wills this, our Solar system be ready to break the circles of time and enter the spiral of Consciousness.

There are as many microcosms as there are macrocosms far beyond any human perception.

It suffices to know that I am ‘in being’, on this Earth,  representing a turning point for involution to start interacting with evolution and thus be the observer as well as the observed, as long as I refuse to be side tracked into anti-evolutionary dead end channels of human inventions.

Mind c)

S.D. Quote:

“Every sidereal body, every planet, whether visible or invisible, is credited with six companion globes. The evolution of life proceeds on these seven globes or bodies from the 1st to the 7th rounds or cycles. (Accordingly called Globe A, B, C, D, E, F, G)

“Life appears as a point that goes into a line, a line that goes into a circle, between the two there is the radius, from the centre point to the circumference of the motion of space, all is life, it is ‘that’ which gives intelligence, which is Life’s goal to evolve in consciousness.

                                                                                                  L.G.

Mind a)

So Life’s struggle is, whether simple or complex to evolve in all ways of manifesting forms, planetary, human solar etc?

Mind c)

The Earth stands alone, but standing alone does not mean ‘It’ to be alone, it is the 12th in the seven-fold ‘Being’ of the Solar system and therefore the most material globe of the physical Cosmos. At the same time it is the revolutionary point of conscious Life in its formative and active revelations of what it means to be alive.

S.D. Quote:

“The seven higher make the Seven Lhas (Beings) create the world, which means that our Earth, leaving aside the rest, was created or fashioned by terrestrial spirits, the ‘Regents’ being simply the supervisors. This is the first germ, the seed of that which grew later into the Tree of Astrology and Astrolatry.

The Higher ones were the (Cosmo creators, the fabricators of our solar system).” S.D.

“Every molecule is part of the Universal Life”.   (Mahatma Letter page 9/10)

Mind a)

It is Life in its infinite creative potential in dynamic transformation through untold individual lives, worlds, ages etc.

An awakened mind therefore is conscious and feels responsible for every atom flowing through its mental, astral, psychic and physical bodies without exception?

Mind c)

S.D. Quote:

The Earth is said to cast off her old three skins, this refers to the three preceding Races, the fourth being the fourth Round out of seven.

The Earth is supposed to cast off, her old skins as the Serpent does: therefore she is called ‘the Queen of the Serpents’, and the mother of all that moves.

The seven Skins, in the first of which she now stands, refer to the seven geological changes which accompany and correspond to the evolution of the Seven Root-Races of Humanity.

Mind a)

The way I understand that, is in the following way;

The seven-fold ‘Human-Being’ develops from within out. From the mental to the astral levels until the middle of the third Root Race, when the first signs of physical life forms appear on Earth.?

Mind c)

Quote out of Mahatma Letters (1, 253-3)

“The succession of primary aspects of Nature with which the successions of Rounds  is conceived , has to do, as already indicated with the development of the Elements in the

Occult sense, Fire, Air, Water, and Earth.”

The centre of consciousness, destined to develop into humanity as we know it, is fire, creative potential, dormant in the first two Rounds. In the third Round the element Air is added making up the ocean of emotion of wisdom, the mental appears as the knowing intelligence first manifesting forms on Earth appear. In the fourth round the element of Water is added making up the feeling intelligence manifesting as the ocean of emotion sentient beings appear on Earth together making the element Earth as the earthing of consciousness of Life in its entirety visible as well as invisible.

Mind b)

I  understand that as; humanity emerging out of the Astral Ocean of emotion (collective unconscious) into the aggregation of physical life-atoms, awakening of the ego-triple flame with its twin, the persona triple-flame emerging as the intellect, a bridging consciousness between the inner and outer levels of evolutionary life and consciousness?.

Mind c)

S.D.  Quote:

During this round there must be seven terrestrial parlays, three occasioned by the change in the inclination of the earth’s axis. It is a law which acts at its appointed time, and not at all blindly, as science may think, but in strict accordance and harmony with Karmic law. In Occultism this inexorable law is referred to as ‘the great Adjuster….

There have already been four such axial disturbances; when the old continents-save the first one-were sucked in by the oceans, other lands appeared, and huge mountain chains arose where there had been none before.

The face of the Globe was completely changed each time, the survival of the fittest nations and races was secured through timely help; and the unfit ones (the failures) were disposed of by being swept off the earth. Such sorting and shifting does not happen between sunset and sunrise, as one may think, but requires several thousands of years before the new house is set in order.

(The literal meaning of pralaya (rest-period) occurs at the conclusion of Seven Rounds, not during a Round, nor even between rounds.)

Mind a)

All very confusing, almost literalistic, it is not living for me. What does it to my Earth incarnations a failure or a conclusion of a Round?

I got a distinct feeling, that the survival of the fittest, from the point of view of the evolution of life on earth is , failure.

Over-population of planet Earth in the 21st century, to me, demonstrates humanity as a wholesale abomination to evolution.

Obsessed with immortal life dragged down onto a non-principled level, they have become like cancer cells.

Medical research into the DNA talks about clonal evolution, of which there are four stages;

Take for instance brain cancer:

“Every cell in the human body is strictly controlled, its death, renewal and proliferation, all keeps the genetic instructions in check by brakes in the cell’s nucleus, in its DNA. So it continues to divide and proliferate indefinitely.

There are four stages of clone-evolution:

Stage one; by proliferating excessively, like in cancer, it clones its own DNA and creates other rebel cells that in turn crowd out its genetically obedient neighbours. And because the body’s antibodies don’t recognise these rebel cells as foreign, they are left to multiply unhindered.

Stage two; mutation, which occurs when the still normal rebel cells begin to proliferate at an accelerated rate, creating pressure on the surrounding area, in this case the human skull.

Stage three; mutation of colonial evolution sees cells proliferate still more rapidly with some of the cells undergoing structural change. By the time this occurs a whole cluster of key genes, say chromosome 9 in a human skull will have been wiped out.

Stage four; fatal mutation usually sees the cells become malignant, cancerous. By now the whole of one copy of chromosome 10 has been lost, and all the genetic instructions contained within it.

The cells are now obeying only their own selfish instructions, to survive and to multiply, ignorant of the fact that this will kill their host, which will most surely die.”

Mind a)

That to me represents physical identifying humanity concreting on planet Earth and with it all of Nature, slowly but surely.

The ultimate irony is in their selfish search for immortality on Earth; they destroy their host (planetary life) as well as themselves.

Mind c)

SD quotes:

When the last round of one of the rings has been entered upon, the highest or first globe ‘A’ followed by all the others down to the last, instead of entering upon a certain time of rest – or obscuration as in the previous rounds – begins to die out.

The planetary dissolution (pralaya) is at hand, and its hour has struck; each globe has to transfer its life-energy to another planet.

This postulate is further explained in the seven globes of the Moon chain, representing a chain in the process of dying and of transferring its energies to the re-imbodying chain of seven globes (our Earth).

Mind a)

He, who is in tune with life in whatever small a form, is aware and at one with the spiral universe, now visible, now invisible because, it is the centre point and purpose of the Truth of Being, which can only be dimly experienced on this present limited level.

Neither ancient nor modern human life, with all their laws, progression and technology seem to understand or experience this simple fact of Life itself.

“OUT OF EVOLUTION” a book written by D. Palmer and P. Barret

I found the following quote interesting:

“The human population has exploded and diversified over the last 10.000 years from a million or so to over six billion. Separation of human populations and exposure to different physical and cultural influences has introduced differences in appearance, language and customs, but genetically we are still the same species, ‘homo-sapiens’, and are capable of interbreeding.”

That seems to be the theory of modern day factual science, in reality, 10.000 years of living a lie, based on indoctrinations, computerised through the brain-mind, where the ‘homo-sapiens’ are elevated to god-kings, heroes and celebrities.

Are they not the product of self-deception, tricksters of mind power on a global scale, working in opposition to what they naturally are; ‘wise men’, meant to activate planetary life with love-wisdom energies according to spirit-will and soul-intent?

Do not human egos pride themselves to walk a straight line, cultivating linear consciousness, opposing curved space and the circles of time, staying blissfully or wilfully unaware of their illusionary concepts?

When the appearance is worshipped, it tends to be clueless of what is behind it.

I see wisdom-energies as revelation of soul-transforming power, that leads to the will and purpose of spirit and matter giving birth to universal principles, nourishing the evolution of consciousness of all life, great and small?

Yet the divine plan of Theosophy suggests that to unite with the source of all things (spirit-energy) which is in everything high or low, nothing in actuality or reality can ultimately go wrong??

Mind c)

The twentieth century would suggest that abstract thought, higher mathematics and abstract art and science are the gateway to higher dimensions.

“In 1910 Kandinsky, called ‘prince of the mind’ and founder of abstract art, and spiritual harmony became a global view, an attempt at a coherent survey intended to relate to the human mind’s activities. His famous three mystical necessities are:

  1. Every artist, as a creator ought to express what is proper to him.
  2. Every artist as the product of the age he lives in ought to express what is proper to that age which is the stylistic element whose interior value is composed of the language of the age and the language of the people, valid for as long as it exists as a nation
  3. Every artist as a servant of art, ought to express what is generally speaking, proper art, the pure, eternal element which exists in all human beings, in all races and all ages, and manifests itself in the work of all artists of all nations and of all generations, and which, as essential element of art, is outside all laws of space and time.

                                                    Kadinsky

Mind b)

I ask myself whether anything or anybody can be trusted to know.

If only individuals, first and foremost had been encouraged to think in their own right and trust their own heart, in the face of mass-produced programming of information of eastern and western education, then maybe they could find their way back to what they were meant to be, homo-sapiens. This implies ‘inner growth in understanding, observation and awareness.

Words of modern languages in the 21st century have concreted into intellectual caprice or meaningless, automatic chatter of personalised grievances, concreting not only human nature but natural life.

Spouting out words however capricious and glamorous, are empty platitudes, at best fascinating entertainment. Yet they neither evoke nor invoke more than what the dictionary informs them with.

Mind a)

That reminds me of a quotation out of a book by K. Armstrong: “The battle for God”

“Until the West introduced a wholly new kind of civilisation, based on a constant reinvestment of capital and technical improvement, which did not come into its own until the 19th century, all cultures depended economically upon a surplus of agricultural produce. No culture before our own could afford the constant innovation we take for granted in the world today.”

Mind b)

That to me shows humanity’s uncertainty of where they stand. It has never been more obvious to me than in this incarnation and modern day life. The fever for technological discoveries on fundamental religions burning up in human minds is not only devastating for human consumption but is destroying planetary.

Mind c)

In simple terms it highlights the fall of mankind. God is dead, but human reaction to faith carries on, leaving desolation in its wake, where individual and cultural selfhood hides behind 10.000 years of a lie.

Karma has been wrapped up in parcels of good and bad, black and white, where it becomes impossible to interact with polar opposites, there is no going back or forward, the psycho-mental inner levels break down as well as the intercommunication between the four kingdoms on Earth.

Mind b)

Yet according to the Theosophists mind over matter is behind it all. I feel that modern civilisations that are based on mind alone without heart or soul, are the most disappointing aspects of my esoteric studies.

Mind a)

Yet my heart tells me that karma, balance of the way snakes its way between action and reaction. The higher materialistic aims climb, the lower they fall, not because materialism is evil, as such, but because the hoarding of treasures and possessions is against Nature’s law that does not waste one atom in its economy.

Mind c)

Esoteric science teaches that the goal of the Age of Pisces, mainly overshadowed by the 6th cosmic ray of devotion and idealism was to earth Self, or Christ-consciousness, putting the onus on individual initiative.

Now in the Age of Aquarius(mainly overshadowed by the 7th cosmic Ray of ceremonial, Ritual and science), manifests metaphorically speaking as the Judgement day; the global gathering of individual life-atoms face eradication of the lie, where karma heralds in the spiritual waterfall, extinguishing the flames of artificial self-knowledge.

Artificiality is an outer power with a double effect; it can be likened to a duel between helium (inertness) and Helios (worship of the sun-disk). The outcome is stalemate.

Where there is mind-manipulation versus mind-perception, there is neither glory nor victory.

Insights can be experiences which cannot be directly shared with the perception of another, yet it can become part of the soul who speaks in metaphor, the mind who uses inspiration of interpretation reflected in practical, everyday life.

Life is communication. It is best done in a neutral and impersonal vein, so as not to interfere with, or build more hopeful concepts of habit-forming inconsistencies leading to dead end systems.

Mind b)

Why does the Hierarchy of Masters not believe in God?

Mind c)

We do not believe in a personalised God, but perceive ‘IT’ as the spark of life itself, manifesting as the layer-centre, the thread that weaves the web of life.

(Layer-centre G. de Puricker: – a point of disappearance from the Sanskrit root, meaning to dissolve, to disintegrate; (a mystical point where a thing disappears from one plane and passes onward to reappear on another plane).

Translated into the 21st century it represents ‘that’ which links all formative life, whether in thought or physical form. It is the spirit spark and the soul of man that interacts between force and form on the visible as well as the invisible mind-levels.

Mind a)

So the free spirit within could be seen as the root of homo-sapiens i.e. ‘wise men’ which have been given free will and choice, to break or make the link between inner and outer evolving life and consciousness.

Mind b)

How can we get a picture of the eternal essence KH is talking about?

Mind a)

I simply conceive it as representing the creative principle within the Universe and Man, foundation of life-conscious expressions on inner and outer levels. If I trust my essential Self to be ‘Spirit and Matter coming together within ‘Man’, the measure of all things, does it help to theorise about it?

Mind c)

Obviously only if it leads to the practical application in one’s life. Spirit (emanation-creation of the soul), and Matter, (emanation-creation of the mind) must never be torn apart. They are ONE in essence, appearing manifold in space and time.

As an expression of Life and Consciousness, the descent of spirit into matter causes intermediate worlds to emerge for the formation or embodiment of self-conscious Life. The S.D. Volume 1, page 70 quotes:

“It is the ‘One Life’ eternal, invisible, yet omnipresent, without beginning or end, yet periodically in its regular manifestation. Occultism sums up the One Life as – the universal motion, the thrill of the creative Breath.”

Mind a)

So Life forever is the cause and the source. One of its effects is the five pointed human star, one of infinite stars exploding into the darkness of inner space, for worlds to unfold in their own karmic right of becoming conscious, in the human sense, growing into self-awareness?

Mind c)

In a way, yes; every human could then be seen as a star, carrying within itself the responsibility of cause and effect, purpose and meaning of the actuality of the ONE LIFE.

Mind a)

Following your way of thinking:

The battle for survival lies in the action and reaction of each individual’s strength of intent to transcend the physical plane.

The intercourse between wisdom knowledge and the understanding of the space-time-continuum is the phenomenal world in which the human lives and has his being where the invisible One Life reveals itself in the tangible.

 Mind c)

The S.D.  Volume 1, page 76 quotes:

“What is that which was, is, and will be, whether there is a Universe or not, whether there be gods or none?” asks the esoteric Sensor Catechism. And the answer made is –    S P A C E -.

It is not the One ever present God in Nature in abscondito that is rejected, but the human God of Dogma and his humanised ‘Word’. Man in his infinite conceit and inherent pride and vanity , shaped it himself with his sacrilegious hand out of the material he found in his own small brain-mind and forced it upon his fellows as a direct revelation from the One unrevealed Space.”

Mind a)

“Man in his infinite conceit and inherent pride etc.” does jar on my understanding.

To me, the mind structures the material forms under the guardianship of the great Androgene i.e. inner man which reveals itself in Nature and the psychology and  behaviour patterns of homogeneous life on Earth.

At the same time I do realise that civilised men in a big percentage fit the picture of pride, prejudice and vanity and are therefore the primordial cause of misplaced energies, wilfully misused and misinterpreted for the purpose of self-gratification, affecting not only life on earth, but the solar system as a whole…

The perceptive objective consciousness of men scoops out of the emanation of the world of creation god-like images, that act as the microcosm reflecting the macrocosm, in evolution.

Would you agree that Individual or incarnation consciousness is rooted in the involution-evolution of the subjective-objective and collective consciousness, subject to every individual’s responsibility to plough and battle through against all odds to keep up the intercommunicating, tenuous thread of the unfolding inner levels with the outer?

Mind c)

Physical life is but a shadow-reflection of the human spirit fighting to survive beyond the plane of existence

Mind a)

Surely that cannot be done by forsaking the worlds of existence by ascending and the descending to so called heavens and hells at one and the same time. In other words heaven and hell need to intercommunicate as one without the other is pure illusion. God and the devil both tempt mankind to accept one or the other even though nothing is ever pure black and white.

Mind c)

As the known worlds disappear, the evolving ego starts to have glimpses corresponding to insights transcending the visible and tangible worlds beyond the mechanical universe.

The god-sparks (essence of the creative principle within the universe) and man seeds the world of formation and action, where the human mind struggles to mediate between the opposite poles of manifesting energies.

The S.D. describes it in the following way:

Every Universe (world or planet) has its own Logos. Back in ancient Egypt it was called ‘the eye of Osiris’ the first begotten or Light made manifest through the Creator; often called the Demiurge impregnates Mother Earth. The light was perceived as the guiding force, the Logos etc.

Mind a)

This is where I find it confusing. Ancient Egypt represented humanity materialising towards a physical reality seen as ‘the life’. It was the beginning of objective concreting consciousness, (the disc of the sun is just one concrete symbol worshipped by that and following civilisations.

Surely the eye of Osiris is an inner light, an insight of the thinker, the true human?

The earth is the womb of formative-creative energy holding both, positive and negative.

The danger point for free born man is to have free will and choice.

Creative imagination is the best tool available to his sensory perception; to see reality for what it is, a transitory state of evolutionary life, a turning-point where spirit and matter, light and darkness seen by the enlightened mind equal and necessary for perceptiveness and objective awareness.

The unfolding principles within the human constitution, (a responsibility for every human being) through neglect slowly decay.

In this modern global state of mind-speculation and high technological inventions, Human nature is conditioned by the principle of probability rather than the balance of the way, disseminated through the space-time-continuum.

The abyss between wisdom knowledge, the root of human consciousness and physical identifying humanity is widening to a point, where bridging it, becomes an impossibility.

Strangely enough, this is the time where the psycho-mental levels come into steeper and steeper decline.

The main culprit is human intelligence getting stuck in concrete, self-deceptive concepts, instead of striving to remove veil after veil of the inward man, who respects the intelligence of organic life as intellectual observations.

Together they unfold and survive by attuning to karma-redemption, which is interactive with physical life.

Human responsibility is to mediate between the dual aspects and attributes of manifesting life.

Mind b)

This is the 21st century; surely Sanskrit words are outdated for Westerners.

The following is an intuitive idea, looking within:

1st principle descending:          Human divine spark

2nd principle descending          Soul or Self-consciousness

3rd principle descending          Soul-triple-flame

4th principle bridging               Sea-fires of the unconscious

7th principle ascending             Persona-triple-flame

6th principle ascending             Ego triple flame

5th principle ascending             Collective consciousness

Mind c)

According to Ocean of Theosophy the principles are ascending from the lowest:

1st principle                              Atma (higher Self or God above))

2nd principle:                            Buddhi (spiritual part of the soul or divine Ego)

3rd principle                              Manas (the inner Ego of many bodily incarnations

4th principle                              Kama-Rupa or animal soul

5th principle                              Linga Sarira or Astral body

6th principle                              Prana Shiva or vitality body

7th principle                              Rupa or physical body

Considering these constituents, the four lower constituents are transitory:

The Passions and desires;

Atma          Life principle,

Buddhi       Astral body

Manas        Physical body

The quaternary or lower man, is a product of cosmic or physical laws and substance. It has been evolved during the lapses of ages, like any other physical, physiological laws which govern the races of man as a whole.

Mind a)

My big problem is that humanity is utterly ignorant of what it is all about.

I see Nature reflected in my own nature, complex, active in intelligence but lacking in awareness.

Books written in the 21st century show clearly how clever we have become. May be too clever for our own good?

In my mind we have all become linear conscious, highly skilled criminals from the point of view of Nature.

                   Quote out of Book:  T H E  L O V E R S:  (John Connolly).

A thriller, written in the 21st century

It talks about possible possessions of spirits, male-female-demons, killing anything in their search for soul-mates.

New age thought is full of finding your soul-mate, yet my feeling is, that man has abandoned his soul, so how can he be aware of it.

In the thriller humans kill in search of each other, leaving occult signs branded on male victims, written in blood on female victims.

Out of the book 😦 which is a discussion between a Police murder-investigator (Mr. Parker) and a Rabbi.

“So what do you know of wasps, Mr. Parker?

“They sting.”

“True, some the largest group in (hymnepotera) are also parasitic. They target host insects – caterpillars, spiders – either by laying eggs externally that attack the host from outside, or by inserting eggs into the host body. Eventually the larvae emerge and consume the host. Such behaviour is relatively common in nature, and not just among wasps. The ichneumon fly, for example, uses spiders and aphids to hoist its young. When it injects its eggs, it also injects a toxin that paralyzes the host. The young then consume the host from the inside out, starting with the organs least necessary for survival, such as fat and entrails, in order to keep the host alive for as long as possible before finally progressing to the essential organs. Eventually all that is left behind is an empty shell. The manner of consumption does display a certain instinctive understanding that a live host is better than a dead one.

Now there is a variety of orb spider known as Plesiometa argyra, found in Costa Rica. It too is preyed upon by a wasp, but in an interesting way. The wasp attacks the spider temporarily paralysing it while it lays its eggs in the tip of the spider’s abdomen, then it leaves and the spider’s ability to move is restored. It continues to function as it always has done, building its webs, trapping insects, even as the wasp larvae cling to its abdomen and feed on its juices through small punctures. This continues for perhaps two weeks, and then something very odd occurs, the spider’s behaviour changes. Somehow by means unknown, the larvae, using chemical secretions, compel the spider to alter its web construction. Instead of a round web, the spider builds a smaller, reinforced platform. Once that is complete, the larvae kill their host and cocoon themselves in the new web, safe from wind, rain, and predatory ants, and the next stage of their development begins.

Mind a)

In my opinion, that describes man using the planet inner and outer as its host.

Homo-sapiens have been dying from within out leaving but a shell of their true selves, which surely proves that what we do to the planet we do to ourselves.

The difference of a human and a spider, though, is the matter of consciousness. Since we must assume that the spider has no awareness of its own identity as a spider, then, the pain of its own consumption aside, it has no understanding of what is happening to it as its behaviour alters and, ultimately, it begins to die.

Self-awareness entails to live in dynamic balance between the opposites, which neither the esoteric or exoteric sciences accept. They are all looking for escape routes.

In his introduction to the book gnosis Philip Gardiner writes:

“I felt that there was more to life than met the physical eyes we are given. In my previous role as a marketing expert I knew that there were subtle and ongoing propaganda machines in motion around the world. These ranged from the marketing and public relations of international companies and organisations, to the blatant and deceitful organism we know as organised religion. There was and is, as any marketing person will tell you crossovers between all these organisations. These crossovers are simply the techniques employed to manipulate the masses into distinct and controllable ‘animal pens’.

We strive to be the biggest influence upon the basic evolutionary desires of each sector of mankind. Whether we are selling products or political rhetoric, we still pull on those same animal instincts that reside within our evolved minds.

The same process has been going on for thousands of years. From the very first medicine man or Shaman of the tribe who gained power and wanted to maintain it, to the Caesar of Rome or the CEO of an international business – all the techniques can be reduced down to the same basic evolutionary pulling power.”

Mind a)

I certainly agree with the above, only that to me it is not evolution but progression, the former has a centre point, the latter has not.

Mind c)

Certainly something to ponder over.

There is a Greek hymn which ran:

“Eternal mind, thy seedling spark,

Through this thin vase of clay

Athwart the waves of chaos dark

   Emits a timorous ray

This mind enfolding soul is sown

   Incarnate germ in earth.

In pity, blessed Lord, then own

What claims in Thee its birth

Far forth from There, thou central fire,

   To earth’s sad bondage cast

Let not the trembling spark expire;

Absorb thine own at last.”

Mind a)

It sounds more like a lament of an earthbound human seeking to be rescued.

If my mind, heart and soul is trapped in my own astral shell, then it is up to my free spirit to come to the fore and armed with Self-intent, leave like a serpent the old outworn skin behind and have the courage and determination to remember at all times and in all situations, life forever is and I am without beginning or end, the light of its conscious evolution, a true reflection of the spiral universe.
